Manual testimonials with filtered star ratings

DLS Reviews Lite displays manually entered testimonials and their star ratings in configurable Joomla layouts.

Joomla sites use this kind of feature when they want to show customer feedback as selected social proof rather than publish it as ordinary articles. Core can store the text in articles or custom fields, and its content voting feature can collect ratings for articles. A module position and a template override can then change how that content is presented. Core does not, however, provide a dedicated curated testimonial display with highlight or grid layouts, review ordering, a minimum-star filter and a display-count setting. According to the listing, those are the areas this extension adds, along with colour controls for the presentation.

It is aimed at businesses, agencies and community sites that maintain a set of approved testimonials and want to display only selected reviews without connecting to a third-party review service. A site with no testimonials, a small brochure site that can manage with a few manually written quotes, or a team already using article overrides has little reason to install it.

The download is free and licensed under GPLv2 or later. The listing identifies Dominik Lehner as the developer, shows six other extensions in the directory, and has no user reviews yet. It lists Joomla 5 and Joomla 6 compatibility, but prospective users should still check the exact supported releases, update behaviour, accessibility, structured-data output, moderation or editing workflow, import options, and how much styling requires custom CSS. The listing also does not explain whether reviews are managed through a component, module or another Joomla extension type. The developer says the free edition makes no Google API requests and needs no external account.
