Frosvo Live Chat sends Joomla visitors to a shared inbox
Frosvo Live Chat adds a visitor chat widget to the public side of a Joomla site and routes replies through Frosvo’s shared inbox.
The job is to let visitors start a website conversation and let a team answer it from Frosvo, alongside messages from email, WhatsApp, Messenger, Instagram and Telegram, according to the listing.
Joomla core covers contact forms through the Contacts component, and administrators can place modules or custom code around a site. A template override can change the appearance or markup of a contact form, but it does not provide a live conversation service, agent inbox, opening-hours handling or cross-channel routing. An extension is therefore the usual route for this requirement. Frosvo goes beyond Joomla core by loading a chat widget on public pages and connecting it to an external Frosvo account; the listing also claims recognition of signed-in Joomla users, multi-site inbox labels and an optional AI assistant on paid Frosvo plans.
This is aimed at a business, support team or agency managing enquiries across one or more Joomla sites. A brochure site that only needs an email contact form, or a team already committed to another help-desk platform, has little reason to install it.
The extension is a free download, and the listing says Frosvo’s free plan is sufficient, though some features require paid Frosvo plans. The developer is Usman Asif; the listing shows no reviews, so it offers little directory evidence of track record. Before installing, check Joomla 4/5 support, external-service terms, data retention and processing location, consent and cookie requirements, accessibility, branding, export and deletion options, and what happens if the Frosvo account or service is unavailable. The listing says visitor messages, page details, browser information and IP addresses go to Frosvo, with name and email also sent for signed-in users; it does not answer those operational questions.
