Health Checker for Joomla reaches version 3.1.1
Health Checker for Joomla has been updated to version 3.1.1, giving Joomla 5 and later sites a free way to review more than 130 security, performance, SEO and content-organisation parameters from the administrator interface.
The project packages checks originally built for MySites.guru, the remote monitoring and maintenance service associated with developer Phil Tayor, into a Joomla component, plugin and module. A dashboard module displays the current result, allowing changes in the score to indicate when a site’s condition has changed.
The checks cover both widely recognised settings and recommendations that may be debatable or unsuitable for particular site configurations. The project documentation therefore treats the results as information for further assessment rather than as automatic instructions. Administrators can disable individual checks in the plugin settings and adapt the default configuration without losing future updates.
Open source and extension support
Health Checker is distributed free of charge under a fully free licence, with source code available on GitHub. The project also publishes documentation, examples and a starter plugin for developers who want to add checks for third-party Joomla extensions.
One example is Health Checker for YOOtheme Pro, developed by community member Alexander Sudbinov. The plugin includes more than 35 checks covering server and Joomla settings, compatibility with third-party extensions, YOOtheme Pro storage usage and cache status, the GraphQL error log, and theme settings associated with recommended practices. Sudbinov built the checklist during years of work in the YOOtheme support team.
The main Health Checker extension works with Joomla 5 and later. Health Checker for YOOtheme Pro supports Joomla 4.x and later. Both extensions are available free of charge.
