NorrCompetition 3.1.0 adds Battle Mode for Joomla 6
NorrNext has released NorrCompetition 3.1.0 for Joomla 6, adding Battle Mode, an interactive voting format in which visitors compare pairs of images or videos instead of voting only for individual entries.
Battle Mode is designed for comparisons between participants. A site can present two images or two videos, allowing a visitor to choose one of the pair in a format similar to the like-or-dislike interactions used by dating applications. A progress bar is also displayed during the voting process.
What changed
- Battle Mode: presents participants in pairs for comparison.
- Image and video support: the format can be used with both types of content.
- Progress indicator: a progress bar shows voting progress.
The release follows the architectural improvements introduced in NorrCompetition 3.0. According to NorrNext, the new format was among the features requested by users. It gives administrators an alternative to conventional voting when the goal is to compare entries directly rather than collect votes for them independently.
NorrNext has published further information about the release in its NorrCompetition 3.1.0 feature announcement. The extension's demo and the Playground provide additional ways to see how the voting format works.
