Planafolio embeds German finance calculators in Joomla

Planafolio Finanzrechner embeds a set of German finance calculators in Joomla pages, modules and template positions.

This is a way to put calculations for ETF savings, compound interest, German investment taxes, dividends, withdrawals, inflation and related topics on a site without building each calculator yourself. According to the listing, the calculators are hosted on planafolio.com and displayed through iframes.

Joomla core can provide the surrounding page: a Custom module can place text or markup in a module position, and an article can contain suitable embed markup where the editor and site settings allow it. Core does not provide investment, tax or pension calculations, however. A template override would only make sense for changing the presentation of a calculator you had already built; it would not supply the calculations. This extension goes beyond those options by supplying 19 third-party calculators through a module and a content plugin, with shortcode-style insertion such as {planafolio sparplanrechner}, plus the listed theme, language and load-consent settings.

It is aimed at German-language investment blogs, financial educators, advisers and other sites that want interactive tools for visitors. Sites with no finance content, sites needing calculations for another country's tax rules, or teams unwilling to depend on an external iframe service have little reason to install it.

The listing marks it as a free download, under GPLv2 or later, and names Daniel Benz as the developer. It shows no reviews, so it does not establish a wider directory track record. Before installing, check the external service's privacy and availability terms, whether its German tax calculations are kept current, what data the iframe receives after consent, and how much control you have over styling and accessibility. The listing says Joomla 5 and 6 with PHP 8.1+, but leaves support, service-level details and customisation limits unanswered.
