Sticky-Admin pins Atum’s Joomla admin controls while editing

Sticky-Admin changes the Atum administrator layout so key navigation and editing controls remain visible as you work.

Sticky-Admin makes parts of Joomla’s administrator interface stay in view during page scrolling.

This is a backend usability issue rather than a missing content-management feature. Joomla core supplies the Atum administrator template, its sidebar navigation, action toolbar and editing tabs, but the normal layout does not make all of those elements persistently available while an administrator moves through a long screen. Teams generally accept that behaviour, add custom CSS or JavaScript through an administrator template customisation or override, or install an extension when they want the change packaged and updateable. According to the listing, Sticky-Admin goes beyond Joomla’s default layout by applying sticky positioning to the header, toolbar, sidebar and article or module edit tabs, adding internal sidebar scrolling and horizontal scrolling for long tab rows.

It is aimed at site managers and development teams using Atum on Joomla 5 or 6 who spend enough time in long administrator forms to value fixed navigation. A small site with short forms, occasional backend use, or a custom administrator template has little obvious reason to install it. The listing places it in the admin navigation section.

The extension is listed as a free download. Gideon Joubert is named as developer, with Jouweb Agency identified as the developer organisation; the directory entry shows no reviews, so it offers little evidence of a wider directory track record. Before installing, check browser and accessibility behaviour, interactions with administrator customisations and third-party edit screens, support arrangements, and whether the available spacing controls suit your layout. The listing does not explain those points, and this publication has not tested the software.
