TelePost connects Telegram channels with Joomla publishing
The free TelePost plugin automatically creates and publishes Joomla articles from new posts in Telegram channels, giving Joomla 5 and Joomla 6 sites an automated publishing path from Telegram.
TelePost maps each configured Telegram channel to a Joomla category and author. Administrators can also define a trigger hashtag, such as #news, so that only matching Telegram posts are converted into site content.
The plugin can transfer other hashtags by matching them against existing Joomla tags. It does not create new tags. Images and video previews are downloaded automatically and attached to the resulting article.
Text processing converts line breaks into paragraphs and breaks, while links in the source post are turned into clickable links. These features are intended to preserve the basic structure of Telegram content during import.
Extension points for structured content
TelePost includes an event fired before an article is saved. Other plugins can use that event to modify the article data, while child parser plugins can extend the handling of more complex content structures.
This integration model allows Telegram posts to feed more than standard Joomla articles. The source lists catalogues, portfolios, news feeds and other structured sections as possible use cases, and says the plugin is compatible with YOOtheme Pro.
The extension was developed specifically for Joomla 5 using namespaces, the service container and PSR-14 events. It supports Joomla 5 and Joomla 6 and is free. Developer Sergei Lebedev, known in the community as @Cavedesigner, is credited with the project.
