Wmarka 4.1.2 adds Joomla 6.2 support and admin updates
Wmarka 4.1.2 is available as a free starter template for Joomla 5 and Joomla 6, adding administrator-based updates, Joomla 6.2 compatibility and changes intended to reduce unnecessary frontend assets.
The release introduces an update server for the template. After installing version 4.1.2 manually once, later releases will appear under System → Update → Extensions in the Joomla administrator.
Template-specific menu item settings are now provided by the System - wmarka system plugin. It adds Wmarka fields to Joomla’s standard menu item form while obtaining core fields from the installed Joomla version. As a result, parameters introduced in Joomla 6.2 become available without the template having to duplicate them.
Joomla 6.2 and frontend changes
- Separate classes are available for images and
figureelements. - Subcategory images are supported.
- The “Forgot password?” link can be hidden in the login module.
- System-message scripts and styles load only when a message exists.
- The keepalive script is not loaded for guests.
- Each page now contains one Schema.org graph instead of two.
On multilingual sites, the logo links to the homepage for the current language, such as /kk or /ru. The template status card also warns when the language filter is enabled but the default language is unpublished, a configuration that causes Joomla to redirect the homepage indefinitely.
Wmarka is built with UIkit 3 and does not use Bootstrap or jQuery. Its interactive guide covers all 37 template positions, along with practical sections on blocks, menus, dates, images and canonical URLs. The template is developed by community member @Zhuzograf.
