WT View PDF 1.1.0 adds PDF.js preload layouts
WT View PDF 1.1.0 adds local PDF.js viewer layouts with loading progress to its Joomla PDF plugin, while also introducing PDF.js build selection and dependency checks. The update requires the WT PDF.js web-asset plugin for the new PDF.js…
The release extends the plugin beyond displaying PDF files inside an article or in a Bootstrap or UIkit modal. The new bootstrap-pdfjs-preload and uikit-pdfjs-preload layouts provide a full local PDF.js viewer.
These layouts include a loading progress indicator, configurable viewer height and background settings, and a download link. This gives site administrators additional control over how documents are presented before the file is fully available.
PDF.js configuration and checks
Version 1.1.0 adds a choice between the modern and legacy PDF.js builds. It also checks whether WT PDF.js is installed and reports its status. The plugin now includes related help and can validate custom JSON configuration files.
The WT PDF.js web-asset plugin is required for layouts that use PDF.js. The update is available through the WT View PDF extension page, with the PDF.js dependency provided separately by Web-Tolk.
