ZS Searchify exports Joomla content for external search indexes
ZS Searchify exports selected Joomla content as structured JSON for import into an external search or retrieval system; it does not provide search itself.
Joomla already has Smart Search, which can index supported site content and provide front-end search. For many sites, that is enough. A template override can change how those results look, but it does not create an export pipeline for another search service. According to the listing, ZS Searchify goes beyond core by producing versioned JSON batches, manifests and deletion records, with manual or scheduled exports and storage in a local folder, Amazon S3, S3-compatible storage or Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2. Its listed sources are Joomla articles and, optionally, EDocman documents.
This is aimed at teams running a separate search stack or retrieval-augmented generation workflow, such as a site whose content must be indexed by Meilisearch or processed by another service. It may also suit administrators who need repeatable exports and run histories rather than a one-off script. A site using Joomla's built-in search, or one with no external indexing process, has little reason to install it. The companion Meilisearch extension is separate.
ZS Searchify is a free download from Zarasin and is listed under Search & Indexing. The directory shows one other extension from the developer, no reviews, and no support or documentation links. Before installing, check the stated Joomla 5.x/6.x and PHP 8.2-or-newer requirements, storage permissions, the target import process, and how its schema fits your search backend. The listing does not explain authentication details for each storage provider, migration procedures, or the exact EDocman compatibility requirements.
