Editor-ordered related articles with automatic fallback

Easy Related Articles lets Joomla editors choose and order the articles shown as related content, with automatic fallback only when no articles are assigned.

The extension is a Joomla content plugin and site module that adds an editor-managed related-articles list to article pages. Editors can search for articles, add them, and drag them into the order visitors will see.

This task exists because “related” content is often editorial rather than purely algorithmic: a series may need a deliberate reading order, while a news or magazine site may want a consistent card or carousel block after each article. Joomla core already has the Related Articles module for automatically finding content from article metadata keywords. Editors can also add ordinary article links in the text, and a template override can change the presentation of existing module output. Those approaches do not provide, according to the listing, a drag-and-drop article selection stored on each article with twelve presentation layouts. Easy Related Articles also says its automatic backup uses shared tags and then newer articles from the same category, but only when no list has been assigned.

It is aimed at editorial teams managing series, tutorials, documentation, or publications where the chosen order matters. A site that only needs Joomla’s automatic related-content module, occasional inline links, or no related-content block has little reason to install it. The module option may suit sites that want the block on selected articles rather than globally.

The directory lists it as a paid download from Infyways Solutions; no price is shown. The developer has 113 other directory extensions, while this listing has no reviews. Before installing, check the purchase and update terms, PHP 8.1 requirement, Joomla 4–6 compatibility, and whether the promised layouts and styling controls cover the site’s template. The listing also leaves licensing support details and migration behaviour unanswered.
