Article navigation with images, series counts and custom styling

The job is simple: place links to the preceding and following article near an article, optionally showing its intro image, title, date and category.

This comes up on sites that publish ordered material such as guides, courses, documentation or multi-part features. Joomla already has the Content - Page Navigation plugin, which can show previous and next text links on an article page. A template override can change their markup and appearance, while custom fields and template code can support more specialised series displays. Easy Article Navigation goes beyond that core arrangement by offering image-based cards or a compact layout, configurable scope and ordering, optional looping at the ends, and an “Article N of M” display based on two custom fields. It is supplied as both a content plugin and a site module, according to the listing.

It is aimed at publishers with sequential content who want a ready-made visual treatment without editing a template, or teams that need the same navigation in a module position. A conventional Joomla site with standalone articles, or one happy with small text links from the core plugin, has little reason to install it.

Infyways Solutions lists Easy Article Navigation in the directory’s content links section as a paid download, licensed GPLv2 or later. The directory shows 113 other extensions from the developer, but no reviews for this extension. Before buying, check the price, update and support terms, whether the custom-field setup matches the site’s content model, and how the module behaves across templates and cached pages. The listing states Joomla 4, 5 and 6 and PHP 8.1+, but does not explain accessibility, multilingual behaviour or migration details.
