JoomION FlipMe turns PDFs and image sets into flipbooks

This need arises when a site wants to publish a catalogue, magazine, annual report, photo series or similar material in a more structured viewer than a list of files or a normal PDF link. Joomla core can store and manage media, place images in articles and modules, and link to files; a PDF can also be opened or embedded using the browser and suitable markup. Core does not provide a page-flip interface, PDF-to-page presentation, or the associated navigation and fullscreen controls. A template override can alter the output of an existing component or module, but it would not by itself provide that viewer. FlipMe goes beyond core by supplying a component for managing image folders and PDFs, plus a module that displays them as a flipbook or embedded file view.

It is aimed at publishers, clubs, organisations and businesses that repeatedly present image sequences or document-style publications online and want visitors to browse them in place. A site that only needs a download link, a conventional PDF embed, or a gallery has little reason to add it.
