MemberMailer adds queued newsletters and one-list signup

Newsletter publishing comes up when a site needs to contact people who are not necessarily Joomla users, or when sending a regular update should be separate from account emails and contact forms. Joomla core provides user registration, mail configuration and administrative mass mail to users, but it is not a complete newsletter subscription system. A template override can change the appearance of a form or email output; it cannot supply the underlying list-management workflow. The usual next step is a dedicated extension.

According to the listing, MemberMailer goes beyond those core facilities by providing public signup for one mailing list, subscriber management, name personalisation and queued delivery. It also lists CSV upload, preview and field mapping; full import and updating are described as Pro features. That makes this a workflow extension rather than a presentation-layer override.

It is aimed at organisations running a newsletter or mailshot from a Joomla site: clubs, associations, publishers, small businesses and teams that want subscribers managed inside Joomla. A site with no recurring email audience, or one already using an external email service and signup form, has little reason to add it.

The directory marks MemberMailer as a free download from Melic Systems in the Newsletter section, under the GPLv2 or later licence. The listing shows no reviews and one other extension from the developer, so there is limited directory feedback to assess. It does not state the Pro price, explain sending-provider or deliverability requirements, describe consent and unsubscribe handling, or give much detail about queue configuration and email editing. It lists compatibility as J6, but those operational details should be checked before installation.
