Personyze adds audience targeting and A/B testing

Personyze for Joomla connects a Joomla site to Personyze so visitor targeting, recommendations and A/B tests can be managed outside Joomla.

In plain terms, it adds the Personyze tracking tag to the front end of a Joomla site.

This job arises when a site wants to change content or messages for different audiences, test alternatives, or track behaviour for recommendations. Joomla core does not provide built-in audience-based personalization, product or article recommendation rules, or A/B testing. A site can place scripts using a custom module, template changes, or a template override for particular output, but those approaches do not supply the external testing and targeting service themselves. The listing says this plugin uses Joomla's onBeforeCompileHead document event and keeps the tag out of administrator pages; its stated purpose is to avoid editing a template while connecting the site to Personyze.

That makes it relevant to marketing teams, publishers, shops, and agencies already using Personyze and wanting Joomla-specific installation rather than manual code changes. A brochure site with no personalization plan, testing programme, or Personyze account has little reason to install it.

The directory marks it as a free download, but an active Personyze account is required and the listing does not state whether that service costs money. The entry has no reviews, so it offers little evidence of the developer's directory track record. Before installing, check Personyze pricing, consent and data-processing requirements, what happens when the account ID is removed, and the effect of the external tag on performance. The listing says Joomla 4 or 5 and PHP 8.1 or newer are required.
