RadarWave hides AcyMailing tracking identifiers
RadarWave Encrypted Tracking for AcyMailing replaces the readable identifiers in AcyMailing's open and click tracking URLs with encrypted codes.
The job is to make AcyMailing's tracking identifiers unreadable and harder to forge without changing the newsletter component itself, according to the listing.
This issue exists because AcyMailing tracking URLs can expose sequential email and subscriber IDs, while Joomla core has no built-in newsletter open- or click-tracking system to secure. A site can accept AcyMailing's defaults, turn tracking off where that is acceptable, or build a custom integration. A template override can change rendered markup, but it is not a general solution for generating and decoding tracking tokens during delivery and subsequent requests. RadarWave goes beyond Joomla core—and beyond presentation changes—by replacing those IDs at send time and decoding them when tracking data returns. The listing says it uses AES-256-GCM, keeps processing on the site's own server, and leaves consent and privacy notices to the sender.
This is aimed at Joomla sites using AcyMailing for tracked newsletters, particularly teams reviewing privacy requirements or concerned about fabricated opens and clicks. Sites that do not use AcyMailing, do not track newsletter activity, or are content with its existing identifiers have no obvious use for it.
It is a free download under GPLv2 or later. The directory lists Gianluca Sordiglioni as the developer, three other extensions, and no reviews for this entry. Before installing, check the stated Joomla, AcyMailing, PHP and OpenSSL requirements, test existing campaign links, and clarify the legal advice behind the claimed Italian and EU relevance. Documentation is listed as unavailable; the entry also does not explain key rotation, backup and migration implications, or how updates and failures should be monitored.
