Xendit for HikaShop adds Southeast Asian payment methods
Xendit for HikaShop connects a HikaShop checkout to Xendit's regional payment services.
Joomla itself does not process card, wallet, bank-transfer or cash-counter payments. HikaShop provides the shop and checkout, plus a payment-method framework, but each payment provider still needs an integration that can create the payment, receive status notifications and pass the result back to the order.
On a Joomla site, that usually means choosing an existing HikaShop payment plugin, writing one for a provider not already covered, or handling a limited change through an override. An override can alter checkout presentation; it cannot replace the server-side gateway connection. According to the listing, this plugin goes beyond HikaShop's general payment-method support by connecting checkout to Xendit's hosted payment page and handling its webhooks, later-paid virtual accounts and counter payments, refunds and expired payment pages. It also claims support for cards, regional wallets, QR schemes and several Southeast Asian currencies.
It is aimed at a HikaShop store selling in the Philippines or neighbouring Southeast Asian markets, where customers may expect options such as GCash, Maya, GrabPay, ShopeePay, QRIS or retail-counter payment. A site using another gateway, not using HikaShop, or selling only through Joomla content pages has no obvious use for it.
This is a paid download from Hikari Software Team. The directory shows 85 other extensions from the developer, but this listing has no reviews. Before buying, check Xendit's availability and fees for the countries and currencies you need, the provider account requirements, webhook security and refund behaviour, and whether support is available. The listing says documentation is not available; it claims PHP 7.4 minimum and compatibility with all HikaShop and Joomla versions, but those claims have not been independently tested.
