Pizza, Bugs & Fun, known as PBF, is a recurring Joomla community event built around several hours of practical contribution. Participants can join a shared online chat to discuss Joomla issues and work on resolving them. Where local groups meet in person, the format can also include pizza, drinks and collaborative development sessions.
The work is open to people with different skills. Contributions may include writing missing documentation, developing code, or testing bug fixes and new functionality. The event website includes a map where community members can host a local location.
Testing remains a central task
At the time of the source post, the Joomla repository listed 810 open issues and 236 pull requests. Pull requests, which can contain bug fixes or new functionality, are tested by at least two community members before entering the final codebase.
