FeedPup imports supplier feeds into HikaShop
FeedPup imports supplier product data into HikaShop and can synchronise stock and prices through a separate paid service.
In plain terms, com_feedpup takes an XML feed or CSV/TSV product file and creates or updates simple HikaShop products.
This job arises because Joomla core does not provide a supplier-feed importer or a HikaShop catalogue synchronisation system. Core can handle ordinary site content and media, but it does not map external product fields into HikaShop, compare SKUs, or run scheduled stock and price updates. A template override is not the right tool: it changes presentation, not catalogue data. Site owners usually use HikaShop's own facilities, write a custom importer, or install an extension. FeedPup goes beyond core by offering field mapping and a hosted service for recurring XML synchronisation. According to the listing, CSV and TSV uploads are snapshots rather than scheduled feeds, and products with options or variants are outside the stated import scope.
This is aimed at HikaShop Business shops whose suppliers publish usable XML feeds, especially teams that need regular catalogue updates without maintaining a bespoke integration. It has no obvious role for a Joomla site without HikaShop, a shop selling only manually entered products, or a store whose catalogue depends on configurable products and variants.
The extension download is free under GPLv2 or later, but the hosted service is separate: the listing describes a limited, unscheduled free test and paid annual or quarterly plans. It requires Joomla 4.4, 5 or 6, PHP 8.1+, HikaShop Business 6.6.0+ and the Connector API on public HTTPS. The directory shows PLANO has one other extension and this listing has no reviews. Before installing, confirm the supplier's feed format, SKU behaviour, tax handling, variant requirements, and the hosted service's data and support arrangements. We have not tested it.
