Pre-order notices and checkout controls for HikaShop products

Pre-ordering is an online-shop workflow, not a general Joomla content feature. Joomla core can publish product information through articles, custom fields and menus, but it does not provide a product catalogue, cart or checkout workflow, let alone pre-order rules. HikaShop supplies the commerce layer; shops without a dedicated extension commonly explain a future product in its description or custom fields, add a visual notice through a template override, and handle the order manually. Those approaches can show information but do not, by themselves, add a saved pre-order marker or prevent checkout when a campaign is paused.

According to the listing, this plugin adds that small layer for simple products: an active campaign shows a notice, optional expected date and buyer message, while the order item retains pre-order and date markers. It uses the full product price and existing HikaShop checkout and payment methods. It does not cover variants, deposits, payment-later arrangements, quantity caps, automatic release or balance collection, or availability email signups.

It is aimed at a HikaShop shop selling a limited range of straightforward upcoming products, where unlimited quantity and an information-only expected date are acceptable. A normal Joomla site, a shop using variants or deposits, or a business needing reservations, automated charging or release notifications has no obvious use for it.

• The listing calls it a free GPLv2-or-later local plugin; there is no hosted service or subscription.
• PLANO has one other directory listing shown, while this extension has no reviews.
• Check the stated Joomla 5.4, PHP 8.1+ and HikaShop Starter 6.7.1 launch requirements. Other Joomla versions and HikaShop editions are not claimed as tested. The listing also leaves support response times and update policy unanswered.
