Sending Joomla contact submissions to GetResponse
Contact Form Integration for GetResponse sends submissions from Joomla’s core contact form to a GetResponse mailing list.
The extension takes a completed Joomla contact form and creates or updates a subscriber in GetResponse, using the site’s API connection, selected list and field mapping.
This need exists because Joomla’s Contact component is primarily an enquiry tool: core displays the form and sends its submission to the configured contact by email. It does not natively push those details into a GetResponse list, apply GetResponse subscriber settings, or manage that service’s opt-in workflow. A template override can change the form’s markup and presentation, but it does not provide the external API connection. Sites that want this hand-off therefore normally use a dedicated integration extension or custom code. According to the listing, this one goes beyond core by loading GetResponse lists and custom fields, supporting an optional consent checkbox, and handling subscriber status, double opt-in and existing subscribers.
Its likely audience is a Joomla site that uses the built-in contact form as a lead or mailing-list sign-up channel and already has a GetResponse account. A site that only needs enquiries delivered by email, uses another email platform, or has a separate form system has little reason to install it. It is also not a general-purpose form builder.
The download is free and licensed under GPLv2 or later. The directory listing shows no reviews and four other extensions from ClickSyncr, so there is limited public feedback here. Before installation, check how the API key is stored and protected, what administrators can see in failure logs, whether retries are available, and how the integration behaves when GetResponse is unavailable. The listing does not explain those details or provide broader operational and privacy documentation. It says the extension supports Joomla 4.4, 5 and 6.
