Ideal Contact stores Joomla enquiries beyond the core contact form

Ideal Contact is aimed at Joomla sites that need a configurable contact form and an administrator-side record of each enquiry.

It lets administrators build and publish email contact forms while retaining submitted enquiries in Joomla.

Joomla core already provides the Contacts component, contact records, email forms and menu-item presentation, with custom fields and template overrides available for more control over appearance. That is enough for a straightforward “send us a message” page. It does not provide this extension’s claimed visual row-and-column builder, form-specific enquiry inbox, CSV export, configurable email templates, routing by dropdown choice, or no-reload submission flow. A template override can change markup and styling, but not usually add that administrative workflow; sites needing those features commonly turn to an extension.

Ideal Contact is consequently aimed at organisations handling regular enquiries, quote requests or support messages, especially teams moving from Fox Contact or replacing an RSForm! Pro setup. The listing says it can import Fox Contact forms and enquiries, and offers a YOOtheme Pro placement. A small site with one basic contact page, or a site happy with Joomla’s built-in form and mail delivery, has little reason to add it.

IdealPC is the developer, and the listing places it in the contact forms section. It shows four other extensions from the developer but no reviews for Ideal Contact. The listing does not state whether the extension itself is free or paid; it does mention a download key and that the first year of updates and email support is included. Check the price after that period, licensing, migration coverage, privacy and retention controls, mail-server requirements, and dependencies such as YOOtheme Pro or AcyMailing before installation. The listed Joomla 3.10, 4, 5 and 6 support is a developer claim, not an independent test.
