A table view for Joomla subform entries

Its job is to present entries in a Joomla subform field as rows in a table, with separate editing windows and an option to duplicate an existing row.

This problem exists because Joomla's core subform field is designed to repeat a group of fields inside an article form. That is adequate for a few items, but a long list of dates, people or price levels becomes difficult to scan. Core editing provides the repeated fields and the normal controls for adding, removing and arranging entries; it does not, according to the listing, provide this table-based overview, column sorting, choice filtering or row duplication. A custom form or layout override is possible for teams prepared to build and maintain their own interface, while an extension is the quicker route to a packaged editor change. The developer says the plugin changes the editing view rather than the saved data or normal front-end display.

This is aimed at sites whose editors maintain sizeable repeated datasets inside articles, particularly when entries share many fields or are often copied from one another. It may also matter to sites that let users edit articles from the front end, which the listing says is supported. A site with only a handful of subform rows, or one that does not use subform fields, has little reason to install it.

The extension is listed as a free download under Custom Fields, with a GPLv2-or-later licence, and the directory marks it as compatible with Joomla 6. The listing identifies netzSINN as the developer, shows 11 other extensions from that developer, and has no reviews for this product. It does not specify support for other Joomla versions, accessibility details, or possible conflicts with custom administrator templates and other form customisations. Those points, along with the update and support arrangements, should be checked before installation.
