TF Image adds random-folder images to Joomla custom fields
TF Image uses Joomla custom fields to choose or randomly select an image and render it with configurable presentation settings.
Sites often need a repeatable way to attach supporting images to articles without inserting each file into the editor. Joomla core already provides article intro and full-text images, a Media field, an Image List field and the Media Manager. Core field values can also be presented through existing layouts or changed with a template override. That covers storing and selecting an image, but not, by itself, choosing one at random from a folder or applying this plugin's claimed display options across supported content. TF Image is aimed at that gap.
The likely audience is a content site that wants rotating folder images, a controlled image choice stored in a custom field, or a consistent field-based image presentation across many items. It may suit a team that prefers editors to select images through fields rather than alter article markup. A small site using Joomla's standard article images, or a team comfortable writing a template override, has little reason to add it.
Before installing, note that the listing identifies TF Image as a free download under GPLv2 or later, in the directory's custom fields section. Joomla Fry is listed with 34 other extensions, while TF Image has no reviews. The listing says it targets Joomla 5 and 6 and supports Joomla's Update System, but provides no documentation and no support details. It also leaves the exact generated markup, accessibility attributes, performance of random folder selection, field configuration steps and override options unanswered. Those points should be checked before using it on a production site.
