WM Surveys stores Joomla polls and short survey responses

WM Surveys collects answers to one-question polls or multi-question surveys and displays them through Joomla menu items, a module, or an article tag.

This job exists because Joomla core does not provide a general-purpose poll or survey system. Core can handle the surrounding pieces—articles, menu items, modules, user access and captcha plugins—but it does not natively store votes, prevent repeat submissions, calculate survey results or manage response exports. A template override can change the presentation of an existing form, but it cannot supply that missing collection and reporting layer. Site owners therefore usually build a custom component, connect an external survey service, or install an extension. According to the listing, WM Surveys goes beyond core with multiple question types, voting restrictions, several repeat-vote methods, result visibility rules, date-based closing, administrative comparisons, CSV and Excel export, and JSON definition import/export.

It is aimed at a Joomla site that needs on-site feedback, research, quizzes or simple audience voting, especially where editors want the responses and controls inside the administrator. A brochure site with no need to collect structured answers, or one already using an external survey platform, has little reason to add it.

The listing marks WM Surveys as a free download under GPLv2 or later. WM Studios has three other extensions listed, while this entry has no reviews; support is marked unavailable. Before installing, check the stated Joomla 6.0+, PHP 8.3+ and MySQL or MariaDB requirements, and clarify privacy, accessibility, migration, email delivery, performance and how the hashed network and browser data fit your policies. The listing also provides no tested compatibility beyond its stated requirements or independent usage evidence.
