Campaign Monitor sign-ups from Joomla’s contact form
Contact Form Integration for Campaign Monitor sends selected Joomla contact-form submissions to a Campaign Monitor subscriber list.
Joomla sites encounter this requirement when a contact form is also being used to collect newsletter subscriptions. Joomla’s core Contact component handles the form and sends the enquiry to the site’s configured recipient; it does not natively call Campaign Monitor, select a mailing list, or add the submitter as a subscriber. A template override can change the form’s markup and presentation, but it is not a complete server-side marketing integration. The usual alternatives are custom development or an extension. According to the listing, this one goes beyond core by mapping contact fields to Campaign Monitor fields and handling consent, subscriber status, double opt-in and existing-subscriber choices.
It is aimed at a site already using Campaign Monitor that wants to retain Joomla’s built-in contact form rather than add a separate form builder. It may suit a small team managing both enquiries and subscriptions in one workflow. Sites using another email platform, or sites where the contact form is only for support and enquiries, have little reason to install it.
The directory marks the extension as a free download under the GPLv2 or later licence, in the mailing a newsletter bridges section. ClickSyncr has seven other extensions listed, while this entry currently shows no reviews. Before installation, check how the API key is stored and protected, what Campaign Monitor permissions it needs, and how subscriber data and consent records fit your privacy obligations. The listing does not explain retry behaviour after logged failures, log retention, rate-limit handling, or the level of support available. It says the extension supports Joomla 4.4, 5 and 6.
