Moosend signup from Joomla’s contact form

Joomla’s core Contact component is designed to collect a message and deliver it by email to the configured recipient. It does not, by itself, create or update a subscriber in an external email-marketing service. A template override can change the form’s markup and presentation, but not replace that missing server-side integration. Developers can connect the form to Moosend with custom code; this extension packages that connection instead.

According to the listing, the extension goes beyond the core form by loading Moosend lists and custom fields, mapping Joomla fields, and optionally requiring a consent checkbox before sending data onward. It also exposes settings for subscriber status, double opt-in and existing subscribers. The developer says Joomla responds to the visitor before the Moosend request is completed, with failures logged rather than displayed.

That makes it relevant to a site using Joomla’s standard contact form as part of a newsletter or lead-capture process, particularly where an administrator wants configuration rather than a bespoke API integration. A brochure site that only receives occasional enquiries, or a site using another form and email platform, has little reason to install it.
