Teya gateway connects HikaShop to hosted card checkout

The extension connects a HikaShop checkout to Teya's hosted card-payment service, including payment callbacks and administrator-initiated partial or full refunds, according to the listing.

Joomla core does not provide a general-purpose payment gateway for HikaShop. Core can install extensions and provide the underlying site, user and administrator systems, but the shop component and a provider-specific integration still have to handle payment creation, return URLs, webhooks and refunds. A template override can change checkout markup or presentation; it cannot, by itself, authenticate with Teya or safely reconcile payment and refund states. This is therefore the sort of job normally handled by a HikaShop payment plugin. The claimed extra over Joomla and HikaShop alone is the Teya-specific hosted checkout connection, signed callback handling, merchant connection flow and Teya refund API operations.

It is aimed at a shop already using HikaShop whose merchant has an eligible Teya account and can run a public HTTPS site with reachable webhook URLs. Teams needing Teya test and live connections, payment-status mapping and refund administration may have a reason to assess it. A Joomla site without HikaShop, a merchant without Teya access, or a shop using another processor has no obvious use for it.

The listing marks it as a free download and shows GPLv2 or later in the metadata, while the full text refers to GPLv3. It lists Webensol as the developer, but shows zero reviews, so the directory provides little evidence of a longer track record. Check the licence wording, Teya availability and fees, support arrangements, security review, production acceptance and the unpublished-draft note for version 1.0.0. The listing says Joomla 5.4 or 6, HikaShop 6.6.0+ and PHP 8.2+, but live-money transactions have not been independently verified.
